Southtowns Catholic School is a Catholic education community. We provide a faith-based education with Catholic virtues and Gospel values. The faculty, families and parish of Blessed John Paul II (merged parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Vincent de Paul) together develop each student to his or her fullest potential. St. Francis High School - Math Bowl
SCS 8th Grader Shawn Schneider - 1st out of 82 Students |
St. Francis High School hosted a Math Bowl completion on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Fifteen teams from nine area schools completed as teams and individuals. Southtowns Catholic eighth grader Shawn Schneider placed first out of 82 students winning first place individual honors. The team from Nardin Academy 2 took home the first place team trophy, followed by The Nardin Academy 1 team in second place and the team from Southtowns Catholic placed third in the team competition. Matthew Schanzlin (Nardin 2) was the individual second place winner, and Magdeline Vastka (Nardin 1) was the individual third place finisher. Competitors were treated to pizza and pop following the completion.
